Planned Giving

Are you interested in including the KyEHC as part of your legacy?

We appreciate all donations to the Kentucky Equine Humane Center, and welcome the opportunity to discuss planned giving with you.  There are multiple ways to make donations to the Center, both during your lifetime and after your passing.  The Center can be named as beneficiary of a specific bequest under your will to “The Kentucky Equine Humane Center, Inc.”  The Center can also be named as beneficiary of a trust, a life insurance policy, an annuity, a charitable remainder trust or a charitable lead trust.  Many planned giving options provide a tax benefit to the donor.  For example, donors can contribute appreciated property and receive a charitable deduction for the full value of the contributed asset, without being required to pay capital gains tax.  Also, gifts to the Center upon a donor’s death are exempt from estate tax.
While we cannot give any tax or planned giving advice, we will be glad to discuss planned giving options with you and your estate planning attorney, and provide suggested language for including The Kentucky Equine Humane Center, Inc. as part of your legacy.
